Spring, a time of rebirth and rejuvenation, is frequently viewed as an opportunity to declutter and clean. This thought can apply not only to your home or work space, but also to your body and its health. Starting the warmer season with good habits and connections will help to launch you into a productive and fulfilling summer.

Developing a deeper connection with one’s body can take many forms. Meditation is one method of creating a deep mind-body connection. This connection helps to reduce the effects of stress on the body. Chiropractic is, in a sense, another form of meditation. By improving motion or the mobility of joints we are improving proprioception of the joint, or how your body interacts with the joint itself and other parts of your body around it.

Movement of the body whether through exercise, yoga or Chiropractic helps one to develop a deeper connection with their body and improve awareness of its needs. Chiropractic in particular, focuses on the connection between the different stresses of life (mental, chemical and physical) and their effect on the body.

At HealthSource of Clayton we provide a means to whole body health through Chiropractic care combined with the benefits of stability enhancing progressive rehabilitative exercise. A focus on improving mobility with stability helps to get you moving better and prevent problems from reoccurring.

It is understood that exercise helps to release “feel-good” neurotransmitters that help increase the sense of wellbeing and improve symptoms of depression. All movement of the body will help to release these “feel-good” chemicals and by improving how the body is able to move we can enhance how we are able to rejuvenate ourselves.
